Meet the Team - Mr Bill Gregory

LTS GO FROM STRENGTH TO STRENGTH

In 2000 Bill Gregory launched Logistics Training Services Ltd, a fork lift truck training company. He started Training on Counterbalance, Reach and the Pedestrian Pallet Lift Trucks which are typical fork lifts found within the warehouse.

Due to Bill's hard work and motivation his business expanded and within six months he opened his own training centre where individuals and businesses could send their employees for realistic training in a warehouse environment Bill's success has continued and now he employs three additional lift truck instructors and has successfully been awarded a training contract from the Local councils.

In 2006 They had a name change to Logistics Training Services (Midlands) Ltd due to training all over the UK and Isle of Man.

Logistic Training Services (LTS) can now provide training on Most types of plant and MHE. We have our own JCB 360 mini digger, a 7.5 tonne tipper lorry including a mounted crane used for lorry and crane training.

Forseeing the shortage of plant equipment training in Shropshire LTS is now moving forward and joining forces with Steve Holding of SP Holdings and will be launching a plant training centre at SP Holding, Horsehay, which will be ITSSAR accredited and will also comply to the (CDM REGs 07).

Logistic Training Services are accredited by RTITB Limited and ITSSAR, LTS are reconised by OPERC for the "SafetyNet" on line test and all training carried out by LTS adheres to the strict code of practice recommended by the accrediting bodies and approved by the Health and Safety Executive.

Employers have a legal duty under the Health & Safety at Work 1974 to provide adequate training and instruction to all their employees. Training by an accredited lift truck organization will help employers meet their duty in respect of lift truck operators.

Bill Gregory has recently been recognised by OPERC to carry out "Safetynet" Tests which aim to measure the knowledge retained once an operator has undertaken basic plant or equipment training.

LTS pride themselves on being able to offer affordable training to the highest standard, Bill has helped many individuals get back into the work place, such as "work assist" and "jobsearch", with newly learnt skills and go on to pursuer successful careers within the logistics industry. With so much success behind him and positive plans for the future, Bill Gregory and LTS are a true Shropshire Success Story.
