Meet the Team - Mr Adam Scorcese

Mr Adam Scorcese was a construction industry machine operator when he formed Apple Industrial Safety in 1994. Prior to his time in the construction industry, he worked as a forklift truck operator in a busy warehouse environment.

‘Apple’ became a Limited Company in 1999 and set out with the aim of providing an efficient, reliable training service that pays extra attention to our clients’ needs, and to date our satisfied customers include companies such as Aluminium & Chemie Rotterdam B.V, Balfour Beatty plc, BP Chemicals, E.On UK, Esso Petroleum, FERRO-Montagetechnik GmbH, PARS-NEOPAN Corporation of Iran, Norbord Inc., Siemens Power Generation Ltd., SGL Acotec Polska Sp.z.o.o., Vinci plc, and several leading safety consultants.

Apple currently operate throughout the UK from our Mansfield office, where our training centre is located and in Northern Europe, from our Benelux office and are currently planning to open another office, watch this space for further details! Apple Industrial Safety Ltd. is an accredited training provider with various organisations for the delivery of Plant & Machinery (Work Equipment) and Health & Safety training courses.

For Work Equipment training Apple are accredited by NPORS (National Plant Operators Registration Scheme); PASMA (Prefabricated Access Manufacturers’ and Suppliers’ Association), and RTITB (Road Transport Industry Training Board). With our partner training companies can also provide CPCS (the Construction Industry Training Board plant operator card scheme), and IPAF (International Powered Access Federation) certification. We also issue our own cards and/or certificates at our clients’ request. Our Quality Procedures ensure that Apple remains consistent through everything that we do, and Apple achieved ISO 9001:2000 over 2 years ago.

For General Health & Safety training we conduct ECITB (CCNSG Passport to Safety), VCA (SSVV European Safety Passport), UKPIA (Forecourt Contractor Safety Passport (SPA)) training, and via our partner training companies we can also deliver IOSH Working, & Managing Safely training and also the EPIC (Quarry Passport (SPA)).

The company is a Corporate Member of OPERC (Off-Highway Plant and Equipment Research Centre), which is “renowned for being the leading international centre of excellence for plant and equipment science, representing both industry practitioners and prominent scholars under one umbrella organisation. The majority of our Safety Advisors are members of IOSH, and are involved in the CPD Programme to ensure our standards remain as high and current as possible.
